The speed of curing and how long before you can recoat or put back into intial service for light foot traffic depends on whether you purchase the fast set or slow set formulations AND even more important is what is the temperature and humidity at the jobsite. Lower temperatures below 70F - 75F will slow the process down and temperatures above this will speed the process up.
At a nominal 70F - 75F jobsite temperature during curing the 5500 Fast Set formulation has about a 15 minute working time, can recoat it with another coating after about 2 hours, can walk on it light traffic in about 5 to 7 hours and put back into full service after about 24 hours. The Slow Set formulation has about 25-30 minutes working time, recoat it in about 3-4 hours, light foot traffic in about 7 to 9 hours and full service after about 48 hours.
